This vineyard contains loam soils with silt and clay with an important rocky composition which is, in the most part, volcanic. The rocks date from the Cretaceous period (113 million years ago) and are mixed with a more recent alluvial topsoil and are “andesitica” rocks which are similar to the volcanic rocks found close to active volcanoes today in the Andes.
